HP All-In-One Printer Versus Kodak All-In-One Printer: 8 x 10 Prints

Have you ever thought how nice it would be to be able to print all the pictures you wanted right from home?  Thanks to being a part of HP's Virtual Focus Group - I'm doing that right now.  However, you don't have to be a part of this group to do it.  Many companies have come out with some printers that allow you to do this - cutting down the cost of what an average print at a photo studio would cost.  Depending on the printer I have found the prints to be comparable to the photo studio and have saved me time and money.

So what printer to use?  The Kodak ESP 7 and the HP Photosmart C6380?  Check out my vlog to see what I think about these two printers and to see what 8 x 10's actually look like printed from home!  To see exactly what I am testing see this post.  To see how the two printers compared in printing documents head here and to see how they both did printing photo cards see this one

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie's Bow-tique Giveway {Ends 2/9}

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Disney is releasing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie's Bow-tique!  Gracie was very excited when I opened the package and she discovered "mou-mouse" inside.  We love Mickey Mouse and we love hairbows so I felt this would be a perfect fit for our house.

Synopsis:  – For the first time ever, Minnie Mouse will star in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s Bow-tique when it comes to Disney DVD on February 9, 2010.  This new release features four Minnie-themed stories including a never-before-seen episode and a fun Minnie magnet bow frame. Two episodes, ‘Minnie’s Pajama Party,’ and ‘Minnie’s Bee Story,’ include Disney’s Adventure Mode – an interactive game using the remote control with multiple play levels. It's the grand opening of Minnie's Bow-tique, a store jam-packed with every kind of bow and bowtie imaginable. The selections include: the "Glow-Bow", a bow that changes color with every mood; the "Grow-Bow", a bow that grows to tremendous size by just adding water; flying "Butterfly-Bows"; and a "Photo-Bow" that snaps instant pictures. Problems arise when Pete, embarrassed about buying a lady's bow for his favorite aunt, causes a few accidental mishaps in the new store.

However, super salesperson Minnie finds the perfect bow for Pete. The Bow-tique's grand opening is a success - and it all ends in a Big Bow Show with the Clubhouse gang modeling the latest fashions under the biggest bow of all, a colorful, sky-high Rain-Bow.

In a never-before-seen episode, Minnie’s Pajama Party Minnie and the girls set up a fun Pajama Party sleepover for the day – but it’s not as easy as it sounds, especially with the addition of Pete and Willie the Giant!

My Opinion:  As Gracie and I snuggled together to watch this movie, I was watching for three things - music, language, and appeal to a toddler.  It has great fun activities for a toddler and Gracie was counting along with Mickey and Minnie.  She was answering their questions and engaging in some learning.  (I do not let the TV "teach" my daughter but I do love when something I am working with her is enforced.)  The music was generally cute except for one song.  Even my husband who was in another room had me turn it.  It was a disco song and I did not feel it was appropriate for a child to listen to.  The words were fine but the music was not.

The language used in Mickey Mouse was appropriate for a young child and I did not catch any words that I did not want Gracie repeating.

We think it was a fun cartoon and other than the one song - loved it!  I am sure it is already on Gracie's list to watch again and again.  :-)

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie's Bowtique releases on Tuesday, February 9th.  You can preorder it from Amazon.com to ensure delivery by Valentine's Day.

HP All-In-One Printer Versus Kodak All-In-One Printer: Printing Documents

I am wrapping up my opinions on the HP All-In-One Printer versus the Kodak All-In-One Printer and today I wanted to show the differences in the quality of the two when printing a document.  You can view my opinions on photo cards here and see what exactly I am testing here.

Soft Scrub Captain: Total Bathroom Cleaner!

Softscrubclub_captain_logo

I just recently found out that I had become a Soft Scrub Captain and I was thrilled!  I have always really loved Soft Scrub's products so when I found out that they had two products coming out - I was eager to test them.

softscrub_totalI received the Total Bath and Bowl Bathroom Cleaner to test and I am in love with the fact that I can now clean upside down!  Oh, I mean I can turn the bottle upside down to clean.  That has always been my least favorite thing - trying to spray the inside of the toilet or other hard places and not being able to turn the bottle upside down.

I made a vlog of my opinions of this new cleaner that hasn't hit the shelves yet. Pictures are great but with something like I this I felt I could show better than I could type it.

*Quick note - there is something wrong with my toilet! That is not dirt or mold - the inside of the toilet is permanently blue! We hope to get a new one soon - it came with the house and needs to go. :-)

Disclosure:  As a Soft Scrub Captian, Soft Scrub did provide me with information and a free sample of Total Bathroom Cleaner for my review.  All opinions and thoughts are my own and were not in any influenced by Soft Scrub.

Free Dockers During The Superbowl

This is going to sound very unpatriotic of me but I really don't care about the Superbowl.  My husband does so I will be watching.  We have church that night so by the time we have watched the TiVo  version, the game will be over.

For those watching though, make sure you watch the commercials!  Once the Dockers "Men Without Pants" (that sounds terrible) ad, either go to the Dockers website or text DOCKERS to 76060.  The first 2,990 to enter, will receive a free pair of Dockers!  ($30 value)

Great reason to watch the Superbowl or at least the commercials!

Thanks, Bargain Brianna, for letting me know about this one.

(Oh, and I want to know if you win!  :-))
